A bit more about the founder - John Wills

Professional life:

John’s career is a story of service, resilience, and performance.

  • 1994–2000 – Served as a Police officer in Auckland and the Far North, building the discipline and people skills that still underpin his work today.

  • 2000–2003 – Pursued his passion for health and fitness as a personal trainer in Auckland, coaching clients towards their physical goals.

  • 2003–2025 – Became a commission-only real estate salesperson in Auckland’s premium city-fringe suburbs, Herne Bay, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, and Westmere — achieving over $1 billion in settled sales.

  • 2007–2008 – Authored a popular book on how to succeed and thrive as a new real estate salesperson.

  • 2008–2020 – Founded and led a successful, well-respected real estate start-up in Grey Lynn, earning a loyal client base in a competitive market.

  • 2022–2025 – Continued selling commission-only through one of the toughest market cycles the industry has ever seen, gaining invaluable insight into what really works and what doesn’t. Successfully selling close to $100,000,000 worth of property during this time.

  • 2025 onwards – Focused on sharing his principles, systems, and the Sales Alpha Framework with salespeople who want to fast-track their success and create life-changing careers.

John’s belief: “The best is yet to come — for me, and for the agents I work with.”

Performance / fitness life:

John applies the same discipline and endurance from his sales career to his sport and fitness pursuits.

  • 2002 – Represented New Zealand at the World Triathlon Champs in Mexico (Men’s 25–29 age group).

  • 2002–2008 – Completed multiple marathons for fitness and enjoyment.

  • 2017 – Competed in a corporate boxing match, raising $14,000 for Cure Kids.

  • 2018 – Stepped into the ring again, raising funds for the Kaitaia Community Boxing Club.

  • 2020 – Completed 18,277 push-ups in his garage during lockdown, raising $13,000 for the RSA.

  • 2023 – Completed the Taupo Half Ironman.

  • 2024 – Completed the full Taupo Ironman.

  • Today – Maintains his fitness with running, weight training, hill sprints, sea swimming, mobility work, sauna sessions and plenty of walks with his two dogs.

Personal Life

John is a family man with a wife who works full-time, two teenage children, and two dogs. He understands the importance of balancing a high-performance sales career with family, community, and personal wellbeing.
